Travel directions
IDDS is conveniently located in Central Square, Cambridge, at the corner of Massachusetts
Avenue and Prospect Street, mid-way between Harvard and MIT, about a 20-minute walk to either. We have offices on the 8th and 9th floors of the 675 office building; the main office is on the 8th floor, which is also the location of the conference room.
Local Public transportation
MBTA Subway Red line, Central Square stop. The IDDS building faces the exit closest to Harvard.
MBTA Bus 1 travels down Massachusetts Avenue from Boston, past Boston University and MIT (main campus), to IDDS at Central Square, and on to Harvard Square (end station).
MBTA Bus 64 provides service to Kendall Square (MIT east campus).
Please See the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority web site, MBTA.com, for buses from Allston, Brighton, Somerville, the Longwood Medical area, and other locations, which pass by Central Square, or have one end station there. The MBTA site also gives weekday and weekend schedules for both bus and subway lines.
Directions from Out of Town
Rail: Take Amtrak to South Station, Boston. From South Station, take the
Red line subway to Central Square
Air: Logan Airport in East Boston
is the closest airport. From the airport, take a taxi (should be about $25) or public transportation: a free airport bus from the terminal to the
Blue Line subway inbound (toward Boston); change to the Green line outbound at Park Street and go one stop; change again to the Red line outbound,
to Central Square
Alternative Airports: Providence TF Green Airport, Warwick RI 02886; Manchester
Airport, Manchester NH 03103
Auto: From New York, take 95 (or 15) to 91 to 84 to the Massachusetts
Turnpike; continue on the Turnpike extension to Exit 18, then follow signs to Cambridge.
From Cape Cod and the South Shore, take the South East Expressway to Storrow Drive, exit onto the Longfellow
Bridge, which enters Cambridge near Kendall Square/MIT. Take Main Street to Massachusetts Avenue, continue to Central Square.
From Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine: Take Interstate 93 South to the Cambridge exit; use the Longfellow Bridge as above.
